Located beside Battersea Power Station, this hotel seamlessly fuses art, design and hospitality.
The interiors are bold and playful throughout, combining curved joinery, glossy blocks of colour, sculptural lighting, oversized artwork and shelving curated with intriguing objects. There is always something to discover, creating spaces that invite you to linger, lounge and people-watch.
Unique artwork by Jaime Hayon helps shape the identity of the lobby, guestrooms and suites. The rooms unapologetically carry the same bold energy as the public spaces, bursting with character without ever feeling overpowering or fussy.
The 15th floor is home to JOIA restaurant and bar, while the 16th floor reveals a sheltered cocktail bar, gardens and rooftop pool with an incredible, almost surreal view of Battersea Power Station — so close it feels within touching distance.
From the rooftop, panoramic 360-degree views extend across London.
I stopped at JOIA for lunch. Meaning ‘jewel’ in Portuguese, it certainly lives up to its name. Created by award-winning chef Henrique Sá Pessoa, the restaurant celebrates Portuguese and Iberian cuisine.
The interiors retain the hotel’s playful character, but with a softer, more calming palette. Natural timbers and stone are layered with dusky pinks and warm oranges, creating a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere.
Just one floor below the rooftop, the incredible views provide a dramatic backdrop to lunch and make JOIA well worth a visit — with a reservation, of course.
A few steps down, the bar offers a more energetic atmosphere and becomes quite the evening hotspot, with live DJs, cocktails and dancing into the night.
The hotel has two restaurants
Tozi Grand Cafe (sister to Tozi, London) is an all day dining cafe located on the ground floor and Joia located on the 15th floor.
