RH (formerly Restoration Hardware), the American luxury lifestyle brand, has opened its first UK hospitality destination, marking the beginning of its global expansion into countries including Germany and France.
This immersive experience is set within the magnificent Aynho Park in the Cotswolds, a 400-year-old, 73-acre landmark estate dating back to the 17th century. From the moment you arrive, the experience feels considered and welcoming. Guests are greeted at the entrance, cars are valet parked, and you are invited to leisurely explore the property.
Beyond the entrance, breath-taking views unfold from the expansive lounges across the surrounding countryside. On a sunny day, the terraces offer the perfect place to sit, unwind and take in the landscape — you may even catch sight of the estate’s white deer grazing in the distance.
RH England has beautifully curated 60 rooms, with adjoining spaces showcasing furniture and décor from complementary design families, materials and colour palettes, making it effortless to envisage complete interior schemes.
The spaces are immense, with the scale, detailing and materiality of the collections firmly positioned within the high-end market. A sophisticated neutral palette combines varying tones of timber and stone, with crown-cut and straight grains, burr veneers and fluted timber adding richness and texture.
Carefully curated artwork and objects complete each interior, helping visitors imagine the collections within their own homes as a cohesive whole.
We enjoyed lunch in the Orangery, overlooking panoramic views of the Deer Park and bucolic landscape beyond. The contemporary menu offers a refreshing selection of healthy and indulgent dishes, including beetroot carpaccio with goat’s cheese, frisée and cider vinaigrette, alongside Wagyu ribeye.
