Treehouse Hotel London is located in the heart of Marylebone, offering spectacular views across the London skyline, from the London Eye and The Shard to Canary Wharf and Regent’s Park.
The hotel is home to The Nest Rooftop Bar, Mexican restaurant Madera and the relaxed Backyard coffee shop.
I stopped by to explore one of the guestrooms before heading up to The Nest for a coffee, taking in the incredible 360-degree views across the city.
The overall feel of the hotel and cocktail bar is contemporary, rustic and playfully eclectic, with exposed concrete ceilings, an abundance of natural timbers and a layered mix of mid-century and contemporary furniture. Contrasting fabric patterns, earthy colours, tactile finishes and plenty of planting give the spaces a relaxed, lived-in character that feels intentionally less polished than a traditional luxury hotel.
The guestrooms continue this playful approach, feeling cosy, colourful and full of unexpected details. Natural materials are combined with bold fabrics, artwork and accessories, while tree branches appear within the bathrooms, complete with their own bird boxes. These whimsical touches bring the Treehouse concept to life, capturing some of the nostalgia, imagination and fun of childhood adventures spent climbing trees and building hideaways.
Sustainability is also woven into the guest experience. Similar to 1 Hotel Mayfair, the approach feels integrated rather than added on, with refillable bottles and bathroom products, filtered water taps positioned within shared spaces and an almost complete absence of single-use plastics. Together, these elements reinforce the hotel’s connection to nature while creating a hospitality experience that feels informal, characterful and refreshingly different.
